Faith Inkubators Lent 2026 provides an opportunity for all the ages to meet together for six weeks and discover Christ’s ultimate life-giving sacrifice. The weekly theme Scriptures are based on the Revised Common Lectionary texts. A home Lent connection is built in with FAITH5 Home Huddles.
FAITH5 at the Core
Faith Inkubators Lent features FAITH5, a simple 5-step faith practice that draws us closer to one another and to God. FAITH5 is the framework for the weekly Small Group Time at church. We then connect church to home through FAITH5 Home Huddles. Everyone is encouraged to gather at home each night with those they love and do the FAITH5 steps together. Modeling these 5 simple steps at church equips everyone to practice faith “Every Week at Church and Every Night in Every Home”.
The Unexpected Teacher (Focus for Weeks 1 & 2)
Focus: Nicodemus came to Jesus looking for some straight answers about Jesus’ mission. Jesus tried to tell Nicodemus about a spiritual connection between God and his people. The spiritual interconnection happens when one is reborn as a spiritual being. John 3:16 is the best known verse in the Bible and clearly states why God put Jesus on earth.
Objective: To involve and invite all ages to become actively engaged in the Scripture so that they may understand and experience Jesus Christ as God’s only Son and history’s best instructor in the will and ways of God.
The Unexpected Healer (Focus for Weeks 3 & 4)
Focus: A Samaritan woman unexpectedly meets Jesus at the well. He knew she needed the water of life. He healed her. A man is born blind. Jesus healed him. The community unable to accept the healing, shunned the man. Jesus encouraged the man, “Believe in me.” The man did. True healing took place. Unexpected healings to unexpected people in unexpected places. A healing that lasts an eternity. Healing takes place when we believe in Jesus. What unexpected healing has Jesus brought about in your life?
Objective: To involve and invite all ages to become actively engaged in the Scripture so that they may understand and experience Jesus Christ as the source of God’s healing power for all who believe in him.
The Unexpected Savior (Focus on Weeks 5 & 6)
Focus: Imagine the confusion of the sisters, the disciples and the crowd when Jesus called out, “Lazarus, come out!” Imagine the fear and amazement when the man that they had believed dead appeared at the entrance. The word unexpected can’t begin to cover the event at the tomb. What kind of man was this who could not only heal and cast out demons, but also raise people from the dead? Was Jesus indeed the Messiah?
Objective: To involve and invite all ages to become actively engaged in the Scripture so that they may understand and experience Jesus Christ as the promised Savior; the one who calls them out of death into life.
