EQUIP YOUR CHURCH WITH EVERYTHING YOU NEED FOR A MEANINGFUL LENTEN JOURNEY.

A Cross-Generational Journey Through Christ’s Life-Giving Sacrifice

Faith Inkubators Lent 2027 invites all ages to come together for six powerful weeks of reflection, discovery, and connection. Rooted in Revised Common Lectionary Scriptures, each week guides your congregation through the story of Jesus' ultimate sacrifice, and the life it offers us all.

Whether during worship or midweek gatherings, this resource is designed to engage every generation in meaningful conversation and spiritual growth.

FAITH5 at the Core

At the heart of this Lenten journey is FAITH5, a simple five-step practice that draws us closer to one another and to God:

STEP 1: SHARE your highs and lows

STEP 2: READ a Bible verse or story

STEP 3: TALK about how the Bible reading might relate to your highs and lows

STEP 4: PRAY for one another’s highs and lows

STEP 5: BLESS one another

Each week, Small Group Time at church is shaped by the FAITH5 model, then extended into the home with FAITH5 Home Huddles. This rhythm helps families and individuals live out their faith every week at church and every night in every home.

He Comes to Challenge (Focus for Weeks 1 & 2)

Focus: Jesus called his disciples to leave everything, take up their crosses, and follow him. During this season of reflection and repentance, Jesus is calling you to leave the noise, distractions, and clutter of your life behind and follow him to the cross. It's a challenge to leave everything and take up your cross. Will you follow Jesus?

Objective: To involve and invite all ages to become actively engaged in the Scripture so that they may understand and experience Christ's radical call to deny self, take up the cross, and follow.

He Comes to Confront (Focus for Weeks 3 & 4)

Focus: Jesus did not come to condemn the world. He came to save. He confronts us with the call to turn from ways that lead to death and follow him to life. Jesus goes beyond verbal challenges in our texts. He confronts the religious status quo by overturning the tables of the money changers. Then he does something even more dangerous: he claims to be God's only Son, sent to save the world. What does Jesus' confrontation mean in a world of many gods, many claims, and few absolutes?

Objective: To involve and invite all ages to become actively engaged in the Scripture so that they may understand the story of Jesus cleansing the temple, and to help them understand his saving, grace-filled presence in their lives.

He Comes to Die (Focus for Weeks 5 & 6)

Focus: We have seen Christ challenge with his call to repentance and the words "If any want to become my followers, let them deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me." We have seen him confront the authorities by overturning the tables of the money changers and claiming to be God's only Son. Today the true nature of Jesus' mission is revealed. He has come to die to save the world from sin. Nothing anyone says or does will keep him from his mission.

Objective: To involve and invite all ages to become actively engaged in the Scripture so that they may understand and experience the power, purpose and courage of the Christ who came to die for their sins.
